'Golf Goes Global' a huge success

Nearly $14,000 was raised for legacy scholarships, the Lantern magazine and student and alumni programming during the UW-L Alumni Association annual golf outing and the first ever “Golf Goes Global” event.

Nearly $14,000 was raised for legacy scholarships, the Lantern magazine and student and alumni programming during the UW-L Alumni Association annual golf outing and the first ever “Golf Goes Global” event where alums could golf from the course of their choice and support the UW-L Alumni Association. “We are very grateful for all the golfers, sponsors and volunteers who made this event possible”, notes Janie Spencer, executive director. “The Alumni Association wanted to engage alumni all over the world, and hopefully, this concept will grow each year.” Mark your calendars for Aug. 7, 2013, for next year’s event.
