Annually, eligible benefit earning employees receive “Floating Holidays” for holidays that fall on a Saturday or non-scheduled workday. These hours are available for use throughout the year, (fiscal year in the case of faculty, academic staff, and limited appointees - the calendar year for university staff) in which they were earned.

These hours are available for use throughout the year (fiscal year in the case of faculty, academic staff, and limited appointees - the calendar year for university staff) in which they were earned.
The following is a schedule of when the time was earned in 2020, 2021, and into 2022:
- 2020 – Independence Day, Saturday, July 4than 8 hour Floating Holiday was earned.
- (This floating holiday is referenced for faculty, academic staff, and limited appointees only as it expires 6/30/21. This day already expired on 12/31/20 for University Staff.)
- 2021 – Christmas, Saturday, December 25than 8 hour Floating Holiday is earned.
- 2022 – New Year’s Day Saturday, January 1stan 8 hour Floating Holiday is earned.
