Add your course to the Workday Learning Catalogue,
Information Request: UWL Employee Training and Development Courses
As part of our ongoing and transition to Workday we will be using it as our centralized platform for all employee training, courses, and development programs. After the go live date in July, all mandatory and optional learning opportunities will be delivered and managed through the Workday system.
The move to Workday Learning will simplify how both managers and employees access and complete training programs. This switch will centralize all learning materials, whether they are mandatory trainings, skill-building courses, or leadership development programs, all of which will be housed in one easy-to-navigate system. It will also make it easier for managers to track the progress of their teams, assign relevant training, and ensure all compliance requirements are met. Additionally, employees will have better access to a variety of learning and development options to help advance their careers.
To ensure a smooth transition and that all training is appropriately tracked, we require that every employee training, class, or program must be presented through Workday Learning. If you are offering a training or program, you will need to complete a short form to provide the necessary details.
Here’s what you need to do:
First, fill out the New Workday Learning Course Request Form. This form is required for any training, program, or class being offered to employees. You can access the form here from self-service. NOTE: this will not guarantee the course will be approved by UW Systems, this is the request to have the course checked and added to Workday Learning.
If you use a specific room for training on a regular, please email the location to Caitlin Jessen at cjessen@uwlax.edu so that it can be added to Workday Learning.
Thank you for your cooperation as we make this transition it will allow for a smoother more integrated learning process for UWL employees. Should you have any questions please reach out to Caitlin Jessen (cjessen@uwlax.edu).
