Find out more about the La Crosse Exercise and Health Program at UW-La Crosse during an upcoming event. The program is active in conducting research with companies including NordicTrack, Speedo, Reebok, Stairmaster, Rockport Shoe Co. and others. Program leaders present cardiopulmonary rehabilitation workshops attended by individuals from all over the world. ”We encourage those at all interested in getting a tour to come while the exercise program is in action,” says Kim Radtke, LEHP director. “It’s better to see it while it’s going on.” Primary program hours are: • 5-7 a.m. Mondays-Fridays — open lap swim, Mitchell Hall Pool. • 5-7 a.m. Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays — access to aerobic and resistance training equipment, 101 Mitchell Hall. • 8:30-11 a.m. Mondays, Wednesday, and Fridays — group-led exercise classes and access to aerobic and resistance training equipment, Recreation Eagle Center. Since its inception in 1971, the La Crosse Exercise and Health Program has provided exercise opportunities for more than 2,500 participants in the adult fitness and cardiopulmonary rehabilitation units.
