A popular hip-hop violinist and a hypnotist from Chicago will perform as part of grand opening acts at the new UWL Student Union, The U, 521 East Ave. N. Violinist Josh Vietti will be the debut performer in the Entertainment Cafe at 6 p.m. Thursday, Jan. 26. Vietti, who also performs pop music, has appeared on “Ellen,” ESPN’s NFL Sunday Countdown and more. See more at: http://www.joshvietti.com. Admission is free. Hypnotist Chris Jones will take the stage at 7:30 p.m. Friday, Jan. 27, in The Bluffs. Jones was featured on “America’s Got Talent” in 2015 and has been touring college campuses since. See more at: http://www.onewordchrisjones.com. Admission is free.
