Tutoring at the Murphy Learning Center is available for everyone -- from those who excel in subjects and those who need help understanding basic concepts.

Students checked into the Murphy Learning Center, UWL's tutoring center, more than 25,000 times in the last school year. This year is on pace for an even higher number. "That only accounts for the students who actually sign in on the computer," says Lee Baines, director of the Learning Center. "We believe that number is much higher." The tutors, who are students, are hoping to see more of their peers drop by. They know first-hand how beneficial it is to get some extra help. Tutoring is available Sunday-Friday, with hours varying based on the subject.
