Area kids can have fun and realize the benefits of living a physically active lifestyle this summer.
A UW-La Crosse Youth Sports and Fitness Camp Aug. 6-8 is designed to teach kids concepts such as sportsmanship, teamwork, nutrition and fitness. The camp, for children ages 5-12, is from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. at Mitchell Hall on the UW-L campus. Campers are supervised at all times.
Activities may include:
Basketball, football, volleyball
Kickball, soccer, whiffleball
Pickleball, ultimate frisbee
Parachute activities
Free time to play many fun games
The camp is $25 per day. Campers may sign up for one day or multiple days and must provide their own snacks and lunch.
The registration deadline is July 27. If registering after July 27, call 608.785.8676 to check for availability. Walk-ins may be accepted depending on space.
