Freedom Fest proceeds also help maintain a memorial inside the Hall of Honor at the Veterans Memorial Field Sports Complex. Thousands of visitors each year pay tribute to veterans at this special landmark at UW-L. Freedom Fest has grown from 1,200 attendees the first year to 7,000 in 2012 because of the increasingly popular musical talents, as well as the impressive support to honor service members, veterans and fallen heroes.
