16 New E-Resources - Thank You BadgerLink!

Thanks to the BadgerLink, a part of the Wisconsin Department of Public Instruction, Murphy Library will have access to the following resources as of July 1, 2009:
Alt HealthWatch (EBSCOhost) This database includes articles on the many perspectives of complementary, holistic and integrated approaches to health care and wellness. It includes full text articles for more than 180 international, and often peer-reviewed journals and reports. Book Collection: Nonfiction - Elementary School Edition (EBSCOhost) This is a cross-curricular database contains abstracts and full text for 1,290 popular nonfiction books. The database includes high interest titles on animals, weather, holidays, adventure, sports, Native Americans, United States, Canada, biographies, nature, civics and more. Book Collection: Nonfiction - High School Edition (EBSCOhost) This cross-curricular database contains abstracts and full text for 2,448 popular nonfiction books. The database includes high interest titles on careers, health, life skills, ethnicity, disabilities, adventure, sports, technology, biographies, music, science, history, civics and more. Book Collection: Nonfiction - Middle School Edition (EBSCOhost) This cross-curricular database provides contains abstracts and full text for 3,089 popular nonfiction books. The database includes high interest titles on careers, health, life skills, ethnicity, disabilities, adventure, sports, technology, biographies, history, science, women, civics and more. Business Source Premier (EBSCOhost) (Upgrade from Business Source Elite) This database includes full text for over 2,300 business journals journals. Non-journal full text includes: market research reports, industry reports, country reports, company profiles and SWOT analysis. Consumer Health Complete (EBSCOhost) Includes full text for 200 health reference books as well as evidence-based health results, drug patient education sheets, medical images and diagrams, over 800 physician-generated videos on general, women's, and men's health; healthy aging; consumer health pamphlets; full text from over 500 consumer health periodicals; and over 240 animations. Education Research Complete (EBSCOhost) This resource includes citations and abstracts for over 2,000 journals with full text for 1,200 as well as full text for over 500 books and education conference papers. Topics covered include all levels of education from early childhood to higher education, and all educational specialties, such as multilingual education, health education, and testing. Educational Administration Abstracts (EBSCOhost) This database includes citations and abstracts for articles on educational administration, leadership, management, and research. History Reference Center (EBSCOhost) The database includes full text for over 2,500 reference books, encyclopedias and non-fiction books from leading history publishers. Also included is full text for nearly 170 leading history periodicals and more than 112,000 historical documents, over 119,000 biographies, more than 113,000 historical photos and maps, and more than 80 hours of historical video. Humanities International Complete (EBSCOost) This resource includes full text of hundreds of journals, books and other published sources from around the world. Citations and abstracts are included from over 2,200 journals with full text for 1,030. Literary Reference Center (EBSCOhost) This resource includes plot summaries, literary criticism, author biographies, literary journal articles, book reviews, poems, short stories, and author interviews. Newspaper Source Plus (EBSCOhost) (Upgrade from Newspaper Source, replaces ProQuest Newspapers) This resource includes full-text from 1,520 newspapers and over 600,000 news transcripts from tv and radio broadcasts, as well as video and podcasts. Articles and transcripts are from: The New York Times (from January 1985 to present), The Boston Globe, The Christian Science Monitor, The Daily Mail (UK), The Irish Times (Ireland), The San Francisco Chronicle, The Sydney Morning Herald (Australia), The Times of London, The Toronto Star, USA Today, The Washington Post, The Washington Times, NPR, ABC News, CBS, CNBC, CBC, Fox News, CNN, and PBS. Science Reference Center (EBSCOhost) This database includes full text access to science reference books, encyclopedias, essays, and biographies of scientists as well as full text articles from science periodicals.

Auto Repair Reference Center (EBSCOhost) This resource provides maintenance and repair information for over 33,800 vehicles including 800,000 drawings and step-by-step photographs, approximately 83,200 technical service bulletins & recalls issued by the original equipment vehicle manufacturer, over 99,800 enhanced wiring diagrams & maintenance schedules, Labor Time Guide & Estimator; AutoIQ, Quick Tips, and a complete guide to vehicle ownership & maintenance. All of the content in Auto Repair Reference Center has been created by ASE certified technicians. NoveList (EBSCOhost) NoveList provides information about 155,000 fiction books. Search by subject, author, title, author read-alikes. This resource also includes book discussion guides, reading lists, and more. NoveList K-8 (EBSCOhost) NoveList K-8 includes information about fiction books for K-8 readers. Search by subject, title, or author, for full-text reviews from sources like School Library Journal and Booklist are available for many titles.
