UWL Multicultural Student Scholarship Golf Outing set for June 7
UW-La Crosse and the broader community are invited to hit the links in support of multicultural students.
UWL’s 22nd annual Multicultural Student Scholarship Golf Outing is set for Wednesday, June 7, at Pine Creek Golf Course in La Crescent. Golfers and non-golfers alike are encouraged to attend.
Thanks to continued support from the campus and the community, this event has helped dozens of multicultural students unlock their potential and pursue their educational goals. Many have gone on to serve as ambassadors for UWL in their communities.
New to this year’s event is a hole-in-one contest with a $10,000 prize.
There will also be activities for non-golfers, including a meal, social activities and a prize drawing. Games and raffle packages will be available for purchase with cash or card on the day of the event.
Golfers can register by May 24 for $55; the cost after May 24 is $60. This includes nine holes of golf with a cart and lunch.
The cost for non-golfers is $30, which includes a social hour and lunch.
All participants must register in advance.
Businesses looking to serve as a sponsor can also register online.
Proceeds support the Barbara Stewart Multicultural Student Scholarship, which recognizes first-year multicultural students who demonstrate academic achievement, campus and community involvement, and strong leadership skills.
