Posted 8:59 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 26, 2010

UW-L's School of Education teacher preparation program has been formally approved without conditions by the Department of Public Instruction (DPI) of the State of Wisconsin. Approval was granted individually for the more than 30 teacher education licensure programs UW-L offers earlier this fall. The teacher preparation program — which includes a new university-wide Comprehensive Assessment System — was approved the week of Oct. 18. A reception celebrating the approval is planned for 4:30-6:30 p.m. Monday, Nov. 1, in the Cleary Alumni & Friends Center.
