Most online resources and databases are available from off campus. Below are a few tips and directions for accessing them:

Q: Can I get to library resources during summer, holidays, and semester breaks?

A: Yes! During breaks, almost all the library’s online resources are accessible from off campus. That means you can find scholarly articles using the specialized article search tools found in the library’s Subject Guides, use Search@UW to find and/or request books, and even help family members buy the right products using Consumer Reports in the EBSCOhost Masterfile Premier database.

Q: How do I log in to these resources?

A: First, make sure you are using links found on Murphy Library pages (or your professors’ D2L pages or similar), not from any other website. Otherwise, you won’t get in. Then, just enter your NetID login information.

Q: Does the library have a helpful one-minute video that shows how to get access from off campus?

A: Yes! Take a look at the library’s one-minute video that explains off-campus access. The library also has a web page that provides information and troubleshooting tips.
