UWL’s It Make$ Cents! Graduate Assistant Kristine Seim and Jessica Harke, a dietitian from Chartwells, teamed up to do a cooking demo on Daybreak on WXOW News 19, Tuesday, March 20. Watch the demo.

Try out their creative recipe that starts with a package of Ramen noodles. The cooking segment helped promote the upcoming It Make$ Cents! Cooking on a Budget event from 6-7 p.m. Thursday, March 22, in 3314 Student Union. Call or stop by the IMC! to register. Learn more.
Ramen coleslaw dish
2 packages ramen noodles-mushroom flavor
1 lb. coleslaw mix
3 green onions
3/4 cup toasted almonds
1/4 cup sesame seeds (toast almonds and seeds in butter)
Dressing
3 T sugar
A few drops of sesame oil
1/2 tsp. pepper
3/4 cup olive oil
5 tsp. rice vinegar
Directions
Mix slaw, green onions and dressing. Add crushed noodles, nuts and seeds. Toss and serve.
