A UW-Madison faculty member will share his research findings on climate change in Wisconsin. Professor Ankur Desai, Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences at UW-Madison, will speak on "Are we all doomed? An optimist's guide to how research and policy can reduce the harmful effects of climate change." His presentation begins at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Oct. 3, in the UW-La Crosse Student Union Theater. Admission is free.   Desai is an ecosystem ecologist whose research focuses on how atmospheric and climatic changes affect terrestrial and aquatic ecosystems, which can, in turn, feed back to future atmospheric and climate changes.   UWL Biology Professor Meredith Thomsen says while Desai’s work is very technical, he’s dedicated to the mission of sharing his science with general audiences. “I am excited to hear what he has to say about how climate research at UW Madison can help Wisconsin,” says Thomsen.   If you go— Who: UW-Madison Professor Ankur Desai, Atmospheric & Oceanic Sciences What: Lecture on: “Are we all doomed?
