Eagles finish 19th in Directors' Cup standings

UW-La Crosse lead Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (WIAC) institutions in the 2017-18 National Collegiate Athletic Association (NCAA) Division III Learfield Sports Directors' Cup standings. The Eagles finished 19th overall in the rankings released May 31. UWL recorded 594.25 points while Williams College (Mass.) captured the award with 1,126.50 points. The Eagles edged out fellow WIAC competitors with its 19th-place finish. UW-Whitewater finished 20th (591.25), UW-Eau Claire tied for 23rd (522.50), UW-Oshkosh was 37th (443.25), UW-Stevens Point 47th (363.75), UW-Stout 73rd (277.50) and UW-Platteville 84th (240.75). It's the 21st top-20 finish for UWL in the 23 years of the Learfield Directors' Cup. The Eagles have recorded 11 top-10 finishes, including a school-best seventh four times (2003-04, 2004-05, 2006-07 and 2009-10).
