Twenty-nine students to present research at 3rd annual research poster session Aug. 6

See summer research projects at the College of Science and Health's third annual research poster session from 1-3 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 6, in Port O' Call, Cartwright Center-Gunning Addition. This summer, 15 SAH Dean's Summer Fellows, 10 National Science Foundation (NSF) Research Experiences for Undergraduates (REU) students and four Wisconsin Alliance for Minority Participation Scholars worked with various College of SAH faculty. The Summer Fellows are supported by the College of SAH with $3,500 stipends, the REU students are supported by an NSF grant to Anne Galbraith and David Howard, biology, with $4,000 stipends and room and board, some of which is covered by the College of SAH. The WiscAMP Scholars were supported by a WiscAMP grant to Meredith Thomsen and Nick Downey, both biology, with $3,500 stipends and housing, most covered by the college.
