Students invited to decompress during LAN party April 25

With finals week approaching, UWL students are sure to need time to relax and have fun.

One such opportunity is the LAN party hosted by the Esports Club, Tabletop Boardgame Club and Super Smash Bros. Club. The event — scheduled for Monday, April 25, from 6 to 10 p.m. in The Bluffs in the Student Union — will include a Super Smash Bros. tournament accompanied by Mario Kart, Jackbox games and other board games.

Student organizer Erin Everson says attendees can come and go as they please. Registration is not required.

Everson says the event is intended to bring exposure to some of the “cool, nerdy” clubs on campus, and to provide stress relief as the semester comes to an end.

Having multiple groups behind the event, she adds, means attendees have more to look forward to.

“Since it's hosted by more than one club, we have more resources to pool together in order to ensure the event is a success,” Everson says. “Overall, there will be a lot of activities going on, so attendees will be able to find something they like.”

Those who can’t make it on April 25 are encouraged to watch for future events hosted by the Esports Club, Tabletop Boardgames Club and Super Smash Bros. Club.
