Posted 1:31 p.m. Friday, Jan. 22, 2016

More than a million images, ready to be used students, faculty, and staff at UWL.

ARTstor Murphy Library's subscription to ARTstor brings to UWL a digital library of nearly one million images in the areas of art, architecture, the humanities, and social sciences. The images can be used by students, faculty, and staff in a wide variety of disciplines and for many different kinds of projects. Some features include:
  • Collections: Includes hundreds of collections in the arts and sciences from museums, photo archives, artists, artists’ estates, scholars, and photographers.
  • Workspace: Users can search, browse, zoom in on images, build an advanced search, filter search results, create image groups, and much more.
  • Teaching Resources:  Includes images groups based on topics, themes, and courses.
ARTstor encourages all users to register for an account. Registered users gain increased functionalities including the ability to create image groups, share images and folders with students, create online presentations, and access the ARTstor Workspace from off-site. The ARTstor license permits noncommercial use by faculty, staff, and students in classrooms, presentations, publications, and more. Read more at the ARTstor Images and Copyright page. Find ARTstor on various Subject Guides such as the Art Subject Guide, or connect directly at http://libguides.uwlax.edu/go.php?c=13382444.
