UW-L will be closed Friday Jan. 14, for a mandatory furlough day.
UW-L will also be closed Monday, Jan. 17, for the national Martin Luther King. Jr. Day holiday.
Full-time, 12-month employees are required to take 16 furlough days over the two-year period July 1, 2009, through June 30, 2011. Full-time academic year employees are required to take 12 furlough days during this period. The resulting furlough time off, required by the governor and approved by the state legislature, is required for all state and university employees.
