Birthday Bash provides opportunity for now, future

Alumni Association board past presidents and chairs have set a Big Birthday Bash goal. They hope to raise $250,000 as part of the celebration to propel the Association into the next half century. “The UWL Alumni Association’s mission is to keep alumni connected to each other and to the university,” says Executive Director Janie Morgan. “We plan to continue that mission for the next 50 years and beyond.” To do that, Association leaders encourage alumni and friends to support the campaign. Monies raised will support these vital priorities:

additional Legacy scholarships.
enhanced opportunities for student-alumni relationship building.
upgrades to the Lantern magazine.
additional network events nationally — and internationally.
securing long-term financial stability.

Among annual alumni programming funded by the Association are alumni awards, networking experiences, corporate events, Lantern publications, golf outings and more.

How can you help?

If you’re a current donor, thanks! If you’re considering a gift, please do! Continue to give to what you’re passionate about. This is a special occasion — the Association only turns 50 once, so join us by making a birthday gift. With your help, we can ensure that alumni for the next 50 years and beyond benefit from the programming engagement and connections made through the UWL Alumni Association.

Designate birthday gifts directly to the Association by:

Giving one-time or multi-year gifts.
Creating an endowment.
Adding the UWL Alumni Association at a beneficiary in your will or trust.
Designating the UWL Alumni Association as the beneficiary of a life insurance policy or retirement assets.
Utilizing other estate planning to leave a legacy to UWL.

With a vision to create a lifetime connection with UWL, the UWL Alumni Association supports the university by building and maintaining relationships among students, alumni, friends and UWL.
