UWL Archaeology alum Kim Thompson ('20) and UWL's Dr. Heather Walder
UWL Archaeology alum Kim Thompson ('20) recently visited students participating in a six-week field program, Gete Anishinaabe Izhichigewin Community Archaeology Project (GAICAP) in Red Cliff, Wisconsin. Thompson (second from left) now works as a Forest Service archaeologist and shared her insight about heritage management careers with the students. GAICAP is a partnership between the Red Cliff Band of Lake Superior Chippewa Tribal Historic Preservation Office and academic archaeologists, including UWL's Dr. Heather Walder (second from right), who co-directs the project.
