Wisconsin natives share unique video footage

Two Wisconsin natives will share some of their odd video findings during “The Found Footage Festival” at UW-La Crosse. In 1991 Nick Prueher and Joe Pickett stumbled upon a video called “Inside and Outside Custodial Duties” at McDonald’s that piqued their interest. They decided to start hunting down other odd videos about random topics. Together they compiled the footage of these videos and began to share it. Prueher used to work as a segment producer on the Late Show with David Letterman. Both have written for The Onion and Entertainment Weekly. Their documentary, Dirt Country, won an award at the South by Southwest Film Festival. The Found Footage Festival is set for 7:30 p.m. Monday, April 1, in Valhalla, Cartwright Center-Gunning Addition. Admission is free. For more information, contact the Cartwright Information Counter at 608.785.8898. The event is part of the university’s Campus Activities Board Series.
