UW-L Theatre production 'Boy Gets Girl' opens Nov. 7

UW-L's Department of Theatre Arts' production of "Boy Gets Girl" opens at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, in UW-L's Frederick Theatre, Morris Hall.

"Boy Gets Girl" is a blind date turned into a living nightmare. "Boy Gets Girlby Rebecca Gilman will show at 7:30 p.m. Thursday, Nov. 7, through Saturday, Nov. 9, with matinee performances at 2 o'clock Sunday, Nov. 10, in Frederick Theatre in the lower level of Morris Hall. Theresa, a work-oriented woman in her late thirties, decides to get back into the dating game when she meets Tony, a charming, attractive man who seems very eager to make a connection. Although Theresa quickly realizes she is not ready for a commitment and gracefully excuses herself, Tony is not willing to let her go so easily. He sends her cards, flowers, and even visits her at work. With each rejection, he becomes more persistent and forceful. As Theresa becomes more paranoid she is faced with difficult questions. How will she get her life back? Or even more terrifying, will she ever be able to? Tickets are $5 for UW-L students, $14 for seniors and other students, and $16 for others. Call 608.785.8522.
