On Thursday, October 27, starting at 5:00 p.m., the library will Honor the 2016 Eugene W. Murphy Library Award winner, congratulate the George Gilkey Scholarship recipient, and launch the new Murphy Million Fundraising Campaign.

WHAT: Reception with hors d'oeuvres, beverages, music, and short program. WHEN: Thursday, October 27, at 5:00 p.m. Program begins at 6:00 in Special Collections. WHERE: Murphy Library Atrium, UWL. PARKING: Lot C2 (on the west side of Roger Harring Stadium) has been reserved for this event. Parking stickers/payment are not needed.
Introducing the Murphy Million Fundraising Campaign Invest in the learning environment at UWL through the Murphy Million campaign! The library’s funds are almost halfway there – help us grow to $1 million, and have a lasting influence on the heart of the campus as we build a library for the 21st Century. Murphy Library has two funds available to contributors:
- The Murphy Library Endowment Fund
- The Murphy Library Florence Wing Fund
$20 – Recognition in the Murphy Library Fine Print newsletter $50 – Above plus book plate in a current library book $100 – Above plus invitation to pre-booksale hours
