The Department of Employee Trust Funds is currently experiencing a high volume of requests from Wisconsin Retirement System members wanting to schedule a retirement appointment.
The standard wait time for appointments is up to six weeks and requires a retirement estimate for the appointment to be scheduled. New appointments open daily but fill quickly during peak periods in the spring and fall.

Request a Retirement Estimate
Visit the Applying for Retirement page for a handy retirement checklist and other resources.
If you’re within 12 months of your minimum retirement age, complete and submit the secure online or paper retirement estimate request form.
It may take up to six weeks for ETF to provide you with your personalized retirement estimate and application.
Schedule a Retirement Appointment
Visit the Schedule an Appointment page to learn about the types of appointments available and to book your appointment.
Consider scheduling an online, small group appointment, which typically can be scheduled sooner than individual (in-person or online) appointments and cover identical information provided in an individual appointment.
Online appointments are convenient, secure, and private. Attendees cannot see each other and are in “listen-only” mode but may submit questions directly to the benefits specialist via the chat feature.
When you’re ready to book an appointment, use the online appointment scheduling system.
