The success of UW-La Crosse’s physician assistant program – and the success of its graduates — is being recognized statewide in the UW System initiative Knowledge Powers Wisconsin. The mission of UW-La Crosse’s Physician Assistant program is to provide much needed PAs to partner medical institutions in regions of Minnesota, Wisconsin and Iowa. It’s no doubt that this mission is being fulfilled. Since 2006 all 98 graduates — 100 percent — have gone on to be employed as physician assistants. The story is highlighted on the Knowledge Powers Wisconsin homepage at http://www.uwpowerswi.com/.  The direct link to the article: www.uwpowerswi.com/meeting-a-regional-health-care-demand-100-of-uw-l-physician-assistant-grads-employed/ The Knowledge Powers Wisconsin site has been developed by UW System, with help from all campuses, to show how Wisconsin’s public universities, colleges and extension networks are working to improve the state’s competitive edge by leveraging the state’s human capital, supporting business and industry, and strengthening local communities.
