Campus campaign kicks off

Great Rivers United Way is asking UWL community members to extend their generosity to our four-county region. United Way works to advance the common good by creating opportunities for a better life for all. Let’s surround the community with the same support that makes UWL great! A gift to United Way goes farther and does more. United Way studies community struggles and strengths for its needs assessment, the COMPASS NOW Report. To make a difference, we need to understand what need in our community looks like, and that’s what COMPASS does. United Way-funded programs meet a current or emerging need. Only specific programs that address targeted goals receive funds, as determined by community volunteers who read and rate grant applications. It’s tough to become a United Way-certified partner. Non-profits are screened for financial solvency and measurable outcomes. Whether you’re a first-time giver or someone who has supported United Way for years, your contribution is truly appreciated. For every $52 pledged, contributors will be entered into drawings that take place Nov. 4 and Dec. 9. Also, any pledge of $52 or more receives a coupon book valued around $450 as a thank you.
