Health Savings Account (HSA) employER contributions processing will be adjusted in 2025 for 9 month employees
As the Universities of Wisconsin approaches the transition to WorkDay in July, there are adjustments being made to the employER contributions to Health Savings Accounts (HSA) for 9 month employees.
- As of January 1, 2025 the HSA employer contribution on the first paycheck of the new year will be front loaded to include contributions for the summer months. After the first paycheck of the new year, the HSA employer contribution will be the same for all employees.
- Effective February 1 to May 2025 the HSA employer contribution on the first paycheck will be front loaded to include contributions for the summer months. After the first paycheck the HSA employer contribution will be the same for all employees.
- Effective September 1 to December 2025 the HSA employer contribution will not be front loaded and will be the same for all employees.
As a reminder, the University contributes to an employee's HSA (based on coverage level).

HSA employee contributions for c-basis employees will continue to be divided over 18 pay periods (first two paychecks of the month during the academic year)
