Posted 1:24 p.m. Wednesday, Oct. 2, 2013

The campus United Way campaign has kicked off and will run through November.

United Way photo. Did you know the cost of two sodas a week donated to Great Rivers United Way could provide 60 warm meals this year to someone in need? The campus United Way campaign has kicked off and will run through November. All employees are being sent, via campus mail, a United Way brochure and copies of pledge forms. Simply return completed forms to University Communications, 115 Graff Main Hall. Give online at www.gruw.org. Download the PledgeForm. Those contributing at any amount will receive a 20 percent discount coupon to the University Bookstore. Those donating at least $25 will receive a free UW-L T-shirt. Also, every $52 pledge equals an entry for gift cards and more from the United Way. Donations — no matter what the amount — make a difference and are vitally important to 73 funded partner programs from 29 different agencies. Participation allows programs to be offered that have a direct impact on the needs of the people in the community. With a pledge to the Great Rivers United Way, you can touch the lives of many in five area counties (La Crosse, Monroe, Trempealeau, Vernon and Houston). Programs, ranging from area disaster relief to credit counseling, are listed on the back of the pledge form. So, donate to help those who need help in the Coulee Region and LIVE UNITED!
