National Survey of State Laws makes it easy to compare state laws.

New Resource: National Survey of State Laws NSSLThe National Survey of State Laws provides an overview of how laws are enacted in all 50 states of the United States. The new 7th edition to the National Survey of State Laws includes changes that have taken place in many areas of law since the 2008 edition was published. It provides a state-by-state overview of legal topics such as abortion, the right to die, gun control, prayer in public schools, marijuana, marriage, personal income tax, drunk driving, capital punishment, right to work, lemon law, leases and other agreements, child custody, legal ages, and many other areas. This title is available as a book in the library’s reference section as well as online through the the library’s A – Z list of all databases by title and on appropriate Murphy Library Subject Guides.The online version includes the ability to compare the same laws as they existed in 2005, 2008 and 2015. All print editions are included in online platform.
