Do you remember your days on campus? Today’s students want a great education, to meet new friends, and to — like you — always be a part of “The La Crosse Experience.” The UW-L Alumni Association engages students by providing programs such as the Etiquette Dinner, the Legacy breakfast, the Hanging of the Lantern & Lighting of the “L”, and the Move-In Day Ice Cream Social. These students will soon become alumni, and we want them to continue to be active and involved with the university. “The Etiquette Dinner is a great event; it provides a relaxed setting for students to learn about professionalism. The presenter is fun and I appreciate the Alumni Association sponsoring it each year,” notes UW-L student Adam Celt. With your membership, the Alumni Association keeps you informed through the alumni magazine, The Lantern. In addition, the Association provides invitations to reunions; offers Legacy scholarships; networking opportunities; and discounts at area merchants and on auto, home and long term care insurance. Most importantly, membership supports programs that strengthen UW-L. Visit www.uwlalumni.org for a complete calendar of events. If you are interested in planning a reunion for your group of friends, contact the Alumni Association for assistance. Through this partnership, the Alumni Association has been able to offer programs to our current students as well as alumni. For each alum who carried and/or used their Bank of America (formerly MBNA) credit card, the Association received financial dividends. The contract ended on July 31, 2011. Alums can continue to use their card, but it will no longer be a benefit to the Association.
