The comedy "Shakespeare in Hollywood" takes place in 1934. Shakespeare’s famous fairies Oberon and Puck magically have materialized in Hollywood on the set of Max Reinhardt’s "A Midsummer Night’s Dream" at Warner Brothers Studio. Instantly smitten by the glitz and glamour, they are ushered into the world of the silver screen to play who else but ... themselves? Mischievous magic sparkles in this hilarious movieland romp, according to the playwright's website. Shakespeare in Hollywood by Ken Ludwig will show at 7:30 p.m. Dec. 2-3 and 8-10 with matinee performances at 2 p.m. Dec. 4 and 11, in Toland Theatre at UW-L's Center for the Arts at 16th and Vine Streets. Tickets go on sale at 1 p.m. Monday, Nov. 28. Box office hours are 1 - 4:30 p.m. Monday through Friday; 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturdays and one hour before each performance. For tickets call 608.785.8522. Admission is $4 for UW-L students, $12 for senior citizens and students of other schools and $14 for others.
