UWL College of Science and Health alumni are helping Wisconsin meet its workforce challenges.

Discover:

  • Meet alumni who chose to stay in the Badger state to help their communities with their science backgrounds.   
  • Mark Sandheinrich has made quite a mark on the College of Science & Health since arriving as a biology professor and researcher in 1988. Before his retirement in June, Dean Sandheinrich took a moment to reflect on his career.
  • Growing up on the outskirts of Detroit, Biology Professor Barrett Klein treasured every piece of wilderness he could find. Today, Klein continues to share his passion for insects on campus and throughout La Crosse.
  • Taylor Prill, ’20, has returned to her Wisconsin hometown to make her geography degree flourish. She’s working with the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service to restore a retired, three-acre hayfield in Clintonville into a native prairie.
