UWL offers this great adventure on stage
The UWL Department of Theatre Arts is proud to present "The Cat in the Hat" for its annual children’s theatre production The engaging and entertaining performance of the Dr. Seuss classic will be performed at 9 and 11 a.m. and 1 p.m. Saturday, April 6, in the Frederick Theatre, Morris Hall, 1615 State St.
Katie Mitchell’s adaptation originated in London in 2009, and since has been staged for audiences throughout the world.
Everyone’s favorite feline in the red and white hat turns a boring, rainy afternoon upside down with madcap mischief and wacky adventures. Speaking only in rhyme, the Cat in the Hat shows Sally and her brother that “it’s fun to have fun, but you have to know how,” despite the misgivings of their well-mannered fish. But what will mother think of all the antics when she returns home? All the favorite moments come from the Dr. Seuss classic will come to life.
Spend a joyful day with Thing One, Thing Two, The Cat in the Hat and the rest of the gang.
