The author of three award-winning short story collections will give insights on her writings during a UW-La Crosse visit. Amina Gautier, who received the Chicago Public Library’s 21^st Century Award, will give a craft discussion from 2:15-3:40 p.m. Tuesday, March 6, in 0120, the Student Union Theater. Gautier will hold a fiction reading, discussion and book signing from 4-5 p.m. Both are free and open to all. Gautier’s most recent book, “The Loss of All Lost Things,” was a finalist for the Hurston/Wright Award. Her work embraces contemporary issues of race, gender, class, sexuality and other topics.
