March 2025 Update
As we step into March, we are reminded that this is a month of movement—both in spirit and in action. From the resilience of those who have come before us to the collective strength we build today. In this month we invite you to call out injustice, build community, and push forward together.
We kick off March with the International Women’s Day Celebration (March 4), honoring the strength and achievements of women worldwide. Then, Life After College (March 5) offers students guidance for what comes next. The Activism Letter Writing event (March 5) and Social Justice Week submissions (March 7) provides a space to amplify our voices, engage civically, and promote issues that matter to us.
Mid-month, we celebrate Women’s History Month with a Couch Conversation with Dr. Sona Kazemi (March 11), and explore global perspectives at Cultural Coffee Hour (March 11).
Later in the month, we gather in joy and visibility with Queer Night @ the REC (March 25), spark dialogue on inclusion in STEM at Brewing Up a New Kind of Knowledge (March 25), and prioritize well-being during Wellness Wednesdays (starting March 26). Finally, we close the month in celebration with the 21st Annual Drag Show & Art Show (March 29) a longstanding tradition of culture, existence, and resilience.
One way we push forward together best is by understanding our campus climate —so, please complete the Campus Community and Belonging Assessment, that was e-mailed to you this past Tuesday (2/25), with your personalized link .
From advocacy to celebration, reflection to action—March calls us to show up, speak out, and stand together. We hope to see you at these events as we stand firm in our values and continue marching forward in solidarity and progress.
