On January 19, 2022, at his opening remarks, Chancellor Gow announced that all Pay Plan eligible employees would receive a Lump Sum equivalent to 1% of the annualized wages in recognition of their service to the university. These payments will be made on the February 24, 2022, pay advice and Supervisors will need to approve the payment.

On January 19, 2022, at his opening remarks, Chancellor Gow announced that all Pay Plan eligible employees would receive a Lump Sum equivalent to 1% of the annualized wages in recognition of their service to the university. These payments will be made on the February 24, 2022, pay advice and Supervisors will need to approve the payment.
As a supervisor, HR is contacting you to let you know that you will receive an email within the next two weeks to approve the lump sum for your eligible employees via the MyUW HRS Portal.
You will receive an email from UW Shared Services seeking your approval for every employee who will receive this payment that is under your scope. You can review this tip sheet to learn how to transact these approvals once you have received the email from UW Shared Services.
These payments will be applied to the employee’s primary job record and associated with the same funding sources.
Once you receive these emails, please act on them immediately, as failure to approve in a timely manner will result in a delay of this payment to your employee.
HR is planning to notify eligible employees via email with the specific details of their lump sum. These notices are targeted to be sent sometime after February 7, 2022.
